About WATCHDAVID
WATCHDAVID is not a classic media project and not just a shop. It is the result of experience from different perspectives: editorial work, photography, retail and consulting.
I have been working in the digital space since the late 1990s, initially building and leading internet and e-commerce projects, later spending many years in sales and strategic business development. This background shapes how I look at products, markets and people.
WATCHDAVID started in 2018 as a personal project alongside my main profession and has been my full-time focus since 2022.
My work always starts with observation. I look at watches closely — how they feel on the wrist, how they are built, and how they will be perceived over time.
From observation comes evaluation. Writing reviews, producing videos or photographing watches is not about repeating specifications, but about forming and expressing an independent opinion.
Part of this work is public and editorial. Another part happens earlier, in direct exchange with brands. As independent sparring, I provide feedback and perspective before a watch is released — informed by experience across product, retail, media and audience perception.
Text, video and photography are tools of interpretation, not promotion.
In rare cases, a watch is convincing enough to become part of the shop. Not because it needs to be sold. But because it deserves to be offered.
